Welcome to Verdyard, a marketplace connecting homeowners with independent landscaping professionals. By creating an account or using Verdyard, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Verdyard is a neutral platform. We help homeowners describe yard work they need and help landscaping professionals find, quote, and book that work. Verdyard is not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a professional, does not perform landscaping services, and does not employ the professionals listed on the platform.
2. Homeowner responsibilities
Provide accurate information in service requests (address, property details, photos). Ensure safe access to your property for scheduled work. Communicate changes or cancellations promptly through the platform. Payment arrangements are made directly with the professional.
3. Professional responsibilities
Provide accurate business information, including services offered, pricing, service area, and (where applicable) licensing and insurance details. Honor accepted quotes and scheduled bookings, perform work professionally and safely, and comply with all local laws, licensing, and insurance requirements applicable to your trade.
4. Service requests, quotes, and bookings
A service request is an invitation for quotes, not a contract. A contract for services forms between homeowner and professional when a quote is accepted. The agreed price is the quoted amount unless both parties agree otherwise. Either party may cancel a booking through the platform; repeated or bad-faith cancellations may lead to account suspension.
5. Payments and fees
Verdyard is currently free for homeowners. Professionals may be subject to subscription fees or per-booking commissions in the future; any such fees will be communicated clearly before they apply. Payments for landscaping work are currently handled directly between homeowner and professional, and Verdyard is not responsible for payment disputes.
6. Reviews and ratings
When review features are available, you agree to post only honest, first-hand assessments. Fake, defamatory, or incentivized reviews are prohibited and may be removed.
7. Disputes
Disputes about work quality, payment, or property damage are between the homeowner and the professional. We encourage resolving issues directly via platform messaging first. Verdyard may, at its discretion, review reported disputes and take account-level action, but does not arbitrate or guarantee outcomes.
8. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the platform, harass other users, or engage in fraudulent activity.
9. Liability
Verdyard provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verdyard is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services performed, for property damage or injury arising from services, or for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $100.

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
